spring rush
by: Spring RushI was wondering how spring rush works for girls? Like i know that not all sororities participate but is it the same as fall rush? Also does anyone know what houses will probably do spring rush? Thanks !!

It's less stressful, but structured similarly now. Not all chapters participate. With Gamma Phi recently colonizing, they are highly likely to participate: so there should be spring rush. Just because a chapter participates, doesn't mean they are bad. They usually have spots that open due to women graduating in the fall. So, it's random on who will be recruiting. It's not any easier to get a bid, they still want top quality women.

My house took girls that didn't know know people in the sisterhood previously so it is definitely worth giving it a shot!

I'm in that sorority and yes we will be hosting a spring recruitment! No other chapters know yet, we only know because our Internationals does this on purpose with new chapters.
Last year, ZTA, Deeph, Phi Mu, Theta, DZ, and AXO had spring recruitment. Like I said, no one besides GPhi has decided about spring, we won't find out until January. Don't worry, this is normal.
Typically, there are very few spots and these go to women who are already friends with many girls in the chapter, but ya never know! It's worth going to, just to meet people, practice your rush conversations (if you plan on doing formal rush in the fall), and learn more about some of the fantastic Greek organizations we have here at UF.
