Low views on video
by: Pnm2005I posted my video a couple of weeks ago and have had very few views so far. Friends have many more views. Should I be concerned?

i’m in a sorority and the views typically don’t mean anything. unless you only have like 15 views i wouldn’t read too much into it. my friend last year had a lot more views than me but got dropped by more houses. i also had a friend who had more views than me but still got the same amount of houses back. i would try to not stress too much about it!

if you posted a week ago then i wouldn’t worry. if you posted the beginning of summer and have less than 15 then that might not be the best. we just got the newest batch of videos two days ago so your video was in that batch. that means girls have only been able to watch for the past couple days so it’s completely normal for yours to not have as many views yet.

How many people in each sorority watch the video? Like what would be a typical number of views to have?

i’m not sure for every sorority but for mine we will have at least 10 girls watch each video (though this won’t always reflect views because sometimes we watch them together). when i went through rush at the end my video had about 80 views and i only got dropped by one house. views really aren’t a huge determination so please don’t stress yourself out about your number of views.

oh i would definitely not worry then. you’ll probably end up receiving at least 70 by the time your video has been completely viewed. but remember the number of views really doesn’t matter. i know it’s super stressful and i constantly checked the number of views i got when rushing and compared with my friends but if you can try not to. it’s just a number and most likely doesn’t mean anything!

So if you posted yours like a month ago and have views is it safe to assume that's all you will get since you guys are still getting more videos you have to watch? Like you are done with older batches of videos that came in so that's probably all the views there will be? Im worried now!

no because we have two sessions where we watch videos. we watch the videos in the summer and also during spirit week so all the videos will be watched again! how many views does your video have and when did you upload it?

views don’t determine anything! i know girls who had over 100 views who got every single house back but i also know girls who had the same number and got about 5-8 houses back for round 2. don’t read too much into it you’re gonna stress yourself out over something that probably means nothing!

I posted mine a week ago and have less than 15 views. What does it mean? Did they read my resume and application and not even want to see my video?
