how hard is it to colonize a new sorority?
by: HiCan someone help me out here? I'm interested in joining DZ, not sure how new sororities work though. Dz is a really strong house nationally so I feel like it might do well here. Do you still get to participate in all the events even though you're a new house? Do other houses treat you like you're lesser cuz you're new? Think it'd maybe be a fun journey but don't really know anything about it

I'm wondering the same thing. I didn't go through formal rush, because I had a wedding that week, and I was thinking of rushing as a sophomore. Now I'm thinking I might try Delta Zeta. I like the idea of something new, but Im' also a little hesitant. Are we sure they have an actual house?

Most people are predicting DZ will get into the middle tiers pretty quickly and kind of stay there. They may get into the high middle/ lower top within a couple of years, but I don't see them ever competing in the top of the top tiers. I also don't see them being low tier at any point. If you are looking for a house that will probably be pretty strong, I would recommend them. I'm pretty sure they will do well. They are very strong in the midwest and other regions If you are looking to be In the hottest house on campus, wait and go through rush next year.
