For what it's worth: I pledged Kappa because of the women I knew who were alumnae, NOT because of the actives. Regardless my reasons, I am proud to be affiliated with KKG. Kappas were top tier when I was in school. But even then, like-attracted-like and we had a group of influential sisters who thought we should be 'wilder' or 'smarter' - whatever would 'help in ratings'. We had sisters who bad-mouthed certain majors or hometowns. We had sisters who thought they were better than everyone, and those who were there strictly to pass the time until they got their MRS. Shallowness takes many forms and is everywhere; drama, however, need not be. If the house has reduced itself or gotten a bad rep, it's because whoever is popular (and not necessarily who is in authority) created the environment. That applies to any house. And like it or not, it does differ from campus to campus and year to year. PS: It doesn't change after you graduate. 12 years on, the same sisters are still creating drama.

every person that spends time writing negative on this page or any other sorority page, kappa or not, is a complete fool. i hope you can all look at yourselves in the mirror because i know i sure as hell wouldn't want to look at you. rude comments are completely unnecessary. kappas are a great sorority nationally and at miami u. obviously other sororities here are great too.my friends from freshmen year are not in the same sorority as me, in fact we are all spread out and yet we have made an effort to get to know girls in each other's chapters.that's what greek life is about you maniac morons.enough with the competition (unless it's greek week or poth). and all of you "frat daddies" posting on here about looks...let's be real here. miami is known for it's attractive women. that being said, the guys here are absolutely heinous. yeah there are a few cute ones here and there, but every girl has to go below their own league if they date any boy here. so get over yourselves uglies
