First off, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc is a Black Sorority. Therefore, they wouldn't be in the Panhellic council. They are in the NPHC - The National Pan-Hellenic Council comprised of 5 Historically Black Fraternities and 4 Black Sororities (The Divine 9). The Black Greek population is actually growing at CSUN. Y'all needa get a little culture in ya blood and stop judging when some of yall know nothing. -Krimson&Kream

Why is there all these negative comments? Just because they're not panhellenic doesn't mean a thing. I would love to get to know this chapter better. They are a national sorority and deserve respect. Please ladies be nice. I may not know this chapter but their national page shows these ladies' true character. I'm agree with AXID. I've never met anyone from this sorority and until my wondering mind brought me to Greek Rank right now I didn't even know they existed. However, I will say that any type of negativity put toward this sorority is shameful. Even though they aren't Panhellenic please help to promote greek unity and try and keep it positive on here! Research is Key, but for those of you who have commented with the lack of common curtsy for women who aim to promote public service and leadership development among black women is shameful. So heres a little information about Sigma Gamma Rho. Founded, November 12, 1922, at Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana and part of the Devine Nine (NHPC), Sigma Gamma Rho sorority, Inc. is the only sorority of four historically African-American sororities to be founded outside Howard University.
