5% and we are boned

by: Dont be a idiot

If the school has over 5% of the student body test positive the CDC will shut Bucknell down and we will be sent home. When u first get to bucknell, don’t be an idiot since no one wants to get sent home.

Any of the girls who were in sororities that came to party (AXO) should not be allowed back in fall.

Union County only has 12 ICU beds. Remember that before you whine about no supers this year.

Agree on being smart but there are other ICU beds outside of Union county that can take patients

Greek life doesn’t care about anyone else. They’re gonna have parties and people will get sick and everyone will go home.

It's true that certain members of Greek life don't care about anything besides partying but certainly not all. It seems that the groups constantly praised here as "top tier" are more concerned with parties than anyone else at school. There are members who care about others and want to stay at school so please don't throw all sorority and fraternity members into one uncaring pile. It will be up to the university and panhell administrations to enforce the suspension rule for the rest of us to stay for the semester.

All Greek life is to blame. Not just top tier organizations. You can’t absolve yourself from blame just because you’re too unpopular to hold mixers. You’re still contributing to a system that encourages ignoring rules and hosting social gatherings during a pandemic that will result in people being sent home. Some people need on campus education to get away from abusive households or unfit learning conditions, or are reliant on access to mental and physical health services on campus, and yet Greek life will continue to hold parties putting people at risk just so they can post generic Instagram posts that look like every other generic Instagram super post

If they can afford Bucknell university then they can afford to live somewhere else to get out of an abusive household. And if they can’t then they can explain to the school that going home is toxic and the school would allow them to stay. Use a different argument

Anyone else notice they didn’t send bill for this semester. Looks like they are still thinking of not opening campus. Good job Greek life.

Also “if they’re in an abusive household the school will just let them stay anyways” false. They rejected so many valid petitions along those lines in the spring semester and they’ll do it again they don’t care.

Also, Lewisburg residents are likely going to be hyper-vigilant, and will call the police at the slightest transgression.
