Greek life was super lowkey when I joined, but over time it has become better and more inclusive. One thing people often forget to consider is that UCSC Greek Life isn't similar to that at schools such as USC and UCLA where Greek Life is big and carries a lot of weight socially. Being in a sorority all 4 years was fun and made it easy to make friends in SC, but it doesn't define everything about me and I definitely had fun outside of it. The city also limits much of what we can do and we can't have a greek row like other schools.
