Pitt has about a 10% undergraduate percentage. Joining greek life at Pitt will definitely enhance your social life, but deciding not to join will definitely not leave you feeling left out. There are a variety of fraternities and sororities to choose from and most people who look into greek life will be able to find the right one for them. You definitely see a lot of pride around campus when it comes to greek life, but it is not overwhelming by any means. I think the thing that hurts Pitt's greek scene the most is the lack of housing and the quality of it. If Pitt had a legit frat row instead of the houses on the hill, I believe the greek experience here would be 10x better. In other words, the students here are interested enough in greek life but the university/oakland neighborhood doesn't really give the students the means for a top notch greek experience.
