Yes you are at a disadvantage because you don't know anyone well enough to invite you out, but not everyone getting invited out has a leg up. Keep in mind that we are testing you! We want to see how you handle yourself in social situations. Many of the girls being rushed right now will end up being dropped because they don't fit in with the group, or they handle themselves poorly. Last year secret private parties happened all the time. I didn't get invited to any of them, but girls on my floor did. Funny thing was that I had a near perfect rush and those girls who were invited out did not. Don't get too down because you haven't met any actives on your first two nights in town. These connections could help, but often only end up hurting the pnm's in the end.
