I think it's only fair to explain. We choose our sisters based on who we like. Isn't that how most people choose their friends? Accordingly, most of us already have younger friends who rush after us. We know these girls, we like these girls, and we gravitate towards these girls. Runs at ole miss is NEVER by chance! That is why we stress networking! Let's say for example is am a pi phi from Indiana. I will naturally start my search for new sisters in my hometown! I will ask everyone I know if they are aware of any girls coming here next year and I will probably make contact with those girls and if I like them, I will try to recruit them. Thus, the more girls from your hometown or home state that are already in a sorority, the greater your chance to receive a bid. Girls really don't concern themselves with girls from other states unless they are introduced by mutual friends or alumni. We can't get to know everyone, we stick to out hometowns. That is why Mississippi and other southern girls have the advantage in certain sororities.
