I really hope you can get a new roommate, but if you can't, then do what many people have done when paired with a terrible roomie: Never be at home. Use your dorm room for sleeping only. Study elsewhere, hang with friends in their dorms or apartments, get super active on campus, whether it's your sorority or other things...in short, make this the best semester it could be. Sometimes awful stuff can turn into something great if you let it motivate you into action. A few other tips: 1) Don't talk about rush with anyone, not just her. I only spoke to my mom about what I thought. 2) If you get asked about her (during rush or otherwise) be totally benign in your answer.
