Because their conversations don't go well. Pnm's need to show their personality and some girls are unprepared/overwhelmed by rush so their personality takes a back seat. Lack of confidence, being naturally quiet, not holding up their end of the conversation appropriately, and the inevitable situation of going through some personal or family or other issues during recruitment week will affect how they rush. None of that helps a pnm show her personality or connect with the actives they meet so they fall through the cracks. When an active asks a pnm a question she's trying to start a conversation to see what they're like so it's not about answering the question so much but HOW you answer. Nice and sweet is great but doesn't mean a pnm rushes well.
