A lot of girls really have no idea about sororities, the process of recruitment, or a generalized fear of hazing so as entering freshmen they do not rush. Some girls choose to wait until sophomore year to get settled into school prior to rushing. Some girls are transfers from other schools. It doesn’t reflect negatively on the chapters or girls who are selected.
