When you are going through the recruitment process or look back on your days as a little, you may wonder if it was all worth it, but it is these 15 moments that make you glad you joined a sorority.

.When your boyfriend since freshman year of high school dumps you. Breakups are never easy, but it sure does help when you have life-long sisters to cry and eat Haagen-Dazs with as you binge-watch Orange is the New Black on Netflix.

.When it’s your birthday. Because who wouldn’t want an entire house of girls to party with you and shower you with gifts for the 24 hours that constitute your birthday #TurnDownForWhat.

.When you need help in any subject. Because with so many girls with so many different majors you are bound to have at least one class with one of your sorority sisters, and having sisters means never having to study alone.

.When you need advice. Whether you want to know if those jeans make you look fat or if you should call that guy you met at the bar last night, being in a sorority means always having someone to give you questionable good advice.

.When you are going through a tough time. Knowing that you will always have someone to support you and have your back in times of need is reassuring, and being in a sorority means having a life-long support network.

.When you remember what it was like to rush. No one but your sisters will be able understand what it was like to rush. Rushing provides sorority sisters with a shared experience that continues throughout college.

.When you meet the CEO of a big company and she just so happens to be your sorority sister. Being in a sorority provides you with endless connections and opportunities to network, which makes finding a job after college that much easier.

.When you want to help others in need. Greeks participate in numerous philanthropic events and often do community service, so there is always an opportunity to give back to the community. Not to mention, these events not only make you feel good, but they can also be really fun too.

.When you do not want to go home for the holidays. For those times when you would rather spend the holidays with your sorority sister, rather than your biological sister, your sorority house can be a literal, and figurative, home away from home.

.When you need something to wear. Having custom, screen printed shirts is just one of the perks of being in a sorority, and aside from the 30 other girls in your sorority, no one else will have those shirts.

.When you want to be a kid again. Luckily, arts and crafts do not end when you enter college. If anything, learning how to color inside the lines has helped prepare you to be in a sorority.

12. When you feel overwhelmed. Feeling like a small fish in a big pond is common on large college campuses, but being in sorority can make a large university seem much smaller and makes it easier to make more personal connections.

.When you need a costume for Halloween. With so many themed parties, finding a costume for Halloween is a no brainer and you do not even have to spend any extra money.

.When you have nothing to wear on your first date with that cute guy from class. The whole point of having a sister is so that you can have someone to swap clothes with, and having a house full of them means more options and more sizes to choose from.

.When you run out of mascara and hairspray and lip gloss. Being in a sorority means never having to go to the store because you can just borrow everything from your sisters.
