No matter where you go to school, there are the same different types of guys that you will find out at a college bar. Each one of these guys is different in their own very special way. I also included some insight from my own personal experiences on what you might expect from interactions with each of them. See if you can find them all during your next trip to a college bar.
The Pretty Boy:
This type of guy is a lot more focused on girl’s noticing his Ralph Lauren sweater than complimenting you on your outfit. He spends a lot longer in the mirror than you and is overly focused on his appearance. He owns more lulu lemon than any girl you know and spends more money on his watches than his tuition. Every girl fights for him as a date for formal because you know he is going to dress to impress and be the classiest date there. He always talks about the type of car he drives and how he already has a job after school. He is nice to look at, but only approachable if you want fashion advice or to hear about his summer beach house.
The Bro
This is the type of guy who is actually in a relationship with his best friends and will never let a chick come in between “bro time”. He is absolutely obsessed with sports and will ditch any date party for a game. He is always at the bar with all of his guy friends and it is almost impossible to get him away from the pack for some alone time. If you are trying to win him over, you have to sway 10 other guys to like you as well.
The Smart Guy
This is the nerdy guy that is every girl’s best friend inside of class. He gets no ass today but every girl will be after him after college. All of the Fraternity boys make fun of him, but will be begging him for a job after 5 years. He is not as confident when talking to girls, but every girl loves him for his “cute” and “nice” personality. This guy will be making 6 figs just a few years after college and will get any girl he wants.
The Work Out Fein
This is the guy who spends more time in the gym than the classroom and genuinely believes that protein powder is food group. He wears any type of shirt that shows off his muscles and uses any excuse to show his abs to girls. He prides himself on the fact that his boobs are bigger than most girls he knows and is more dedicated to the gym than to girls. He takes the word GTL seriously and uses words like “Yoked” or “swoll” to describe himself daily. Girls might think he is the most attractive guy at the bar, but will stop talking to him once they realize that he is in an exclusive relationship with the gym.
The Try-Hard
This guy might be the most annoying part about going to the bar. He acts like he is the coolest guy there and uses the word “frat” every other sentence. This guy likes to publicly announce his love for booze and girls on social media just so he looks cool. He attempts to hit on every single girl at the bar and always strives to be the drunkest kid at the party. Most of these guys are the ones that peaked in high school and are trying to hold on to their glory days in college.
The Stoner
This guy always shows up to the bar with red eyes and laughs at everything that you say. He constantly talks about leaving the bar to get any type of food and asks if you’ve seen Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas a couple times a night. Whenever he asks you if you want to go home with him you know that includes watching Plant Earth on blue-ray and eating pizza out of a box. His main goal when he goes out is to get a girl to come home and late night with him and his stoner buddies.
The Desperate Guy
This guy is the one who spends the weekends just searching for a girl who is wife material. He is desperate enough to talk to girls about how he wants to have kids and how he wants to cook for you. If he is into you he asks if you want to go to Church with him on Sunday and tells you that he is a “relationship kind of guy”. He says that he is ready to “settle down” and will give any girl a chance until he finds the right one.
The Townie
This guy will never move on from the college life style even when he is 30. He will pick a fight at any bar he is at and will never leave the house without his gold chain. He always shows up to the bar early and prowls on any girl that walks by. Every girl steers clear of this guy and wants nothing to do with him.
The Homecoming Guy
This guy lives for coming to college during homecoming weekend and any other excuse he can make. He strives to relive the days of being a frat star and spends a lot of money on shots for you and all your friends because he now has a real job. All he cares about is finding a girl who will let him crash in their bed and reuniting with his fraternity buddies. He will never let go of college and drinks the most he has all year.
