sorority rebuilding schedule
by: InterestedXO, AXO, G Phi, and A Phi are all in the process of rebuilding obviously. Which sororities are next on the list for rebuilding/remodeling and which ones are last on the list?

As a member of Alabama's greek community and knowing people who have attended meetings discussing this and members of all of those houses, that is the current building schedule.

ZTA is actually not getting a new house next. They are currently in serious debt due to their past renovations 3 or 4 years ago and they cannot get a loan from the school because UA refuses to give loans out to a house who has an outstanding debt with them. The next phase of houses to be build are phi mu and kappa.

The long-range plans call for houses for 19 sororities -- do y'all think Panhellenic will be able to get two more NPCs to colonize? I can see one possibly, but not two.

ZTA is not in debt. They are ready to get their new house whenever a space to put it is ready.

ZTA may not be in debt but they are probably still paying off the renovation costs and can't build until all of those costs are paid off. even then they're not even scheduled to build till after Phi Mu and KKG.

The ZTA house is owned by the ZTA national housing corporation, which has plenty of $.

Kappa, KD, Zeta, and phi mu are ALL getting new houses once APhi, GPHI, AXO, and XO are done. Alpha Phis old house is going to be torn down to make room for phi mu. Gamma Phis old house is being torn down for zeta. Kappa and KD are building on existing land. Either alpha xi delta, Tri sigma, or sigma kappa will colonize prob in 2016 or 2017

Yea definitely incorrect, you're right. The main expansion plan off of Panhellenic's website must be wrong. We should definitely listen to anon's like you instead!

After all is said and done they are going to try and move SDT into one of the old "swing" houses (old ADPi or old Alpha Gam), and then put a new sorority in the other. Tri Sig was supposedly supposed to come on in the next year or two but apparently they pulled out/are having second thoughts after everything that went on last semester.

Doesn't have the numbers to afford the expense and upkeep of one of those houses. Unless they miraculously start making quota in formal recruitment, I don't see it happening.

KD and GPhi are the only ones that will be building during the 2014-2015 school year.
Gphi will be done spring 2015
KD Fall 2015
then Kappa and Phi Mu will start on their new houses which will be ready fall of 2016
