does being a legacy actually help you?

by: Legacy

I know I some schools sororities won't even drop you if you're a legacy for them, but it seems like I hear of legacies at UGA getting dropped all the time. What's the deal with that?

because rush at UGA is extremely cut throat compared to almost any other school. For many houses a legacy will get past the first round. After that there's no guarentees. And for some there isn't even that

There are tons of legacies that go through rush so if a sorority accepted every legacy that was going through that is all the new pledge class would be. Also some legacies are not going to be the right fit for a sorority just because their mother or other family member was at the time they rushed. Some legacies will be accepted and others will be cut. Being a legacy really only gets you through until house tours. Good luck!
