legacy

Do the sororities have a "legacy quota" and "non-leagcy quota?" Or will they just try to fill up their houses with all legacies if they can?

nope being a legacy really only gets you through a first round and then if you're still in that house by pref round, you're safe. Some houses take legacies into greater consideration but for the most part it's still fair game

You are guaranteed a second day visit and if things are tight between a legacy and non legacy the legacy will win out. There are many legacies here though that there isn't room for all of them in some houses even if their whole house was legacies. It's a leg up but that's all.

No quotas-it only gets you a second visit and then you are on your own

Each house puts a different emphasis on legacies and who that consider a legacy can vary too. You will get a second invite and with others it can make the difference in a bid. There are checks in place from making this the only factor. Most houses could fill their class with nothing but legacies if they wanted to here. Being someone with no legacy at all does make it harder or impossible to get a bid with some groups.

With Chi O you it's all about connections so a triple legacy with lots of dollars to give is helpful. Most other houses are more fair. It's always an advantage but it will not get you a bid on its own.

Comment right before here is true. You have to be heavily connected for XO. Legacies are given different priority with each group. Also true all will receive a second invite which means some none legacies are cut in your place early on.

The honest truth. So be open to all chapters and don't fixated on one you think we belong in. You can't know the girls or house through rumor.

So many girls have legacies it doesn't help much but in the end if its a legacy slot or non most will go with the legacy...you have to make it to the end though,

They pull different weight in different houses. Lets be honest-they give you an advantage and with so much competition very advantage counts. They don't promise you a bid though.

Legacies are "known" before rush so that IS a advantage. There are no quotas and if you just don't click it won't get you a bid. That said it isn't true to say a non legacy girl has the same advantages because that's misleading. It isn't a perfect system and this is one example of were it isn't but people do try to be fair...Except for the house that won't be named where people know rush is a sham.

In-house legacies are set and legacies at minimum get a second invite. It depends on the house and what your legacy is how much it helps you.
