answer questions without basic y/n answers. ie. "Did you have a nice summer?" A: "Yes, I did ........" not "NO, it was boring."

The type of conversation changes a little with the atmosphere of the chapter. The whole point is to try to meet each other and see if there is a connection. Do the girls in the house make you feel comfortable and cared about? The words can be less important than the vibe. Be yourself and be polite. Think about what houses made you feel good when you were there because that's what you want to end up with in the end.

You will get lots of "Where are from", "What are you going to study", "what do you like to do"...the conversations will be short and can end up being kind of silly. What matters more than the content is the feeling. Are you polite, smiling, interested in the house, snobby, bland...it's about connecting and can't be practiced.

It is more about connecting with the sisters than the questions. Unfortunately, everyone is human and you will connect with some better than others (You or they may be tired etc.) but if this happens stay on track. You will most likely click with someone soon with a different group and those are the houses to focus on.

Very basic and superficial. It's more important how your body language and interest level seems than the content. Things are Hurried, Hot and Caoutic.

Agreed with the answer above. It is all about how you present yourself in a positive way :)

The conversations start off basic so don't become frustrated if you are asked the same thing all day. Other than that, it is free flowing and dependent on you and who your matched with. This is luck of the draw but be polite and social no matter what. A positive attitude opens many doors while rudeness to ANY house is the quickest way to get them slammed. The Panhellinic Coucil has representative from every house and they do talk.

This answer is good to remember. There is no way to have a conversation because the room is full of others talking and clapping...it is hot and loud. If you can share something interesting about yourself that might help people remember you in the sea of 1000 girls that would be even better.

This is something you can't prepare for because the conversations are short and depend on the person your paired with. Be yourself and friendly and you will end up where you belong.

It is so much more about your personality than the subject matter. Meeting tons of strangers in very loud and competitive environments isn't easy but remain authentic and things will work out.

Be authentic but do think of a few interesting short things to share about your summer, why you chose your course of study, or why TCU etc. After a little while you'll get the hang of it. It's just intimidating at first but doesn't need to be so try and relax.
