black fraternity rush

I am from the north and want to attend school in the south. I'm choosing between here and Texas. I want to rush an IFC frat, but I am black. Will it honestly stop me from being able to join a house here? I visited the campus, and it was absolutely beautiful, even more so than Texas (which I liked also.) Should I consider coming here or nah?

It sucks (and I hate it about the south) but a lot of houses will cut you for your race. The best advice I can give you is to make connections, if you meet the right guys and they like you, they will pull you through.
