thoughts on pi kaps, dtd and du?

After this semester and going into the fall, DTD and DU will be equal; Pi Kapps had a poor year after being a pretty solid mid last year. While Pi Kapps seems to have fallen a little this year, the other two are continuing to rise and mix/pregame with the same sororities (DTD didnt have anything with DG tho, DU had one mixer/pregame in the fall i believe). We will see in the fall...Just an opinion...

DU is probably the best of the three right now. DTD is getting better but still has work to do socially. Pretty decent fall pledge class, though i don't really know the winters. PiKapp is the worst of the three. Didn't have a shot with anyone for PG partners and recruitment was pretty average. These could all change with good recruiting in the fall. Expect DTD and DU to be pretty close in terms of rank next year.

Is sig chi really that much better? After all, they are pregaming with deeph once again and they almost lost that to DTD. Admittedly Phi Delt is a large degree better than all three but I would say that sig chi is pretty comparable, if slightly better(sororities like them but they don't have a huge rep on campus). Just my two cents.

DTD only had a chance with Deeph because they spent thousands of dollars on renting out bars and what not, while sigchi barely did much. The vote came down to whether they wanted the clearly better frat, or the one that tried way harder to get them and put in real effort.

Sig Chi spent a ton, so did DTD. The Deeph freshman love DTD and aren't crazy about the Sig Chi class. Apparently it came down to Deeph juniors deciding to vote and knowing Sig Chi better

the freshman are split half like sigma chi, half DTD, because the juniors voted, and they never mixed with dtd and don't know the guys they chose sigma chi

sig chi/du/dke/phidelt
dtd/pi kapps
sig chi has deeph and phidelt has pi phi but that doesn't necessarily put them above du or dke because they just didn't wanna pregame that low. dtd and pi kapps are objectively lower than the other 4, but dtd has been moving up fairly quickly.
most importantly, rush the houses and see where you like the guys in person - this site isn't going to give you an answer, rush will.

This is spot on, but don't not rush a house for marginal differences in ranking because honestly the mixer schedule is similar... find where you fit.

When you put it like that it makes marginal differences seem larger than they are. All of these are pretty similar middle tier houses, with Phi Delt and Sigma Chi a notch above the others, but nothing that can't change with a good fall pledge class.

they are all seriously the same, all a mixed bag this includes phi delt, dke, and sigma chi too. chill guys, weird guys, hot guys, creepers in ALL of them:
YES you do have better PG with a sorority partner, but location is key too, so heres my opinion
DTD: Have a prime PG spot, which made them more relevant this year. A lot of the freshman are very attractive.They did mix a lot with pi phi and deeph this year, yes they did go all out for deeph, but didn't end up getting them, but they are moving up and they will still have fun PG due to location (even though it can be very geed-y) but if they get a hot fall 14' pc, they could be really good
DU: Their mixers are pretty fun, no idea if they've ever even had a PG spot, but I heard they bought pi kapps old PG house which still isn't a very good location at all. They went all out for ZTA, but did not get them. their freshman were alright this year, nothing too special, but they did have a fun St. paddys partay
DKE: Honestly these kids need to change their attitudes, because clearly its not working. Failed at getting PG partners for 3 years, and only desperately asks Pi Phi last year, and Pi Phi didn't even end up liking them. Not a good/fun PG location, and the guys are pretentious and unwelcoming
Sigma Chi: The parties here are pretty average. These guys have a good PG location, they are with deeph again. There were a few cuties in the freshman PC, but wasn't amazing. The guys are friendly though and threw a lot of late nights

Pi kapps: alright parties, the guys can be a tad bit aggressive but they are pretty nice. Did not even try for deeph this year, because they didn't want to be rejected again after already being rejected for ski trip. There are low key some really attractive guys here though
Phi Delt: Kind of got a hot head this year. Their parties are really fun PG are fun also, but they are with pi phi, when they originally wanted adpi or dg but that wasn't gonna happen
yes phi delt and sigma chi are with pi phi and deeph, but pi phi and deeph would NOT have chosen dke or DU i guarantee
