Pi Kappa Alpha (Pike): Stereotypical frat (not that it's a bad thing if you want the state school experience) with real bros and real good times.


Pi Kappa Phi (PiKapp): Sweet guys with good intentions and are fun, but lack something outstanding to really make them shine.


Delta Chi (DChi): Cool guys who aren't stereotypically fratty. Very exclusive in who they hang out/party with if that's your thing.


Sigma Chi: Clean cut, charming, good times. More stereotypically fratty than a lot of other frats but not as douchey as Pike.


Sigma Phi Epsilon (SigEp): Leaders. Wonks. Intelligent. These guys are not raging the hardest, but they work hard. If you're into Student Government, these guys have historically held a stranglehold over it (but now is being challenged by another fraternity).You'll find them in shorts, vineyard vine shirts, and sperrys. Preppy and classy out the ass.

Lambda Chi Alpha (Lambda Chi): Relatively new, only became a chapter Fall 2013. Guys are kind of dweeby but they mean well and are really trying to forge ahead and make a name for themselves. If you find a lot of the fraternities on this list do not suit you, try Lambda Chi.

Zeta Beta Tau (ZBT): New kids on the block, started a colony Spring 2014. If you want to take the reins in a close, small brotherhood and help it grow and develop, look here. Beware, they suffer from issues as new kids on the block such as a lack of a real house.

Zeta Psi: These guys have been around for a couple years now. If you want to have a ratchet good time, these guys are good for that. Keyword: ratchet. Do not expect pricey champagne at their parties but do expect a judgment free zone. Does have a reputation as a stoner fraternity and are not very traditionally "fratty". These guys are the antithesis of Pike. None the less, they seem caring and on the rise. I know a few brothers, they seem very close knit as well.

Alpha Epsilon Pi (AEPi): Very fratty like Pike, but without the vast resources of Pike. They try to go for a much smaller, close knit brotherhood with low membership totals in order to foster brotherhood. Definitely weigh them against Pike to see which flavor you like more if you want a traditional frat!

Delta Tau Delta (Delt): Sporty dudes, cool dudes, but not very remarkable. They are "frat" but lack the reputation of Pike/AEPi. They take a lot of pride in their fraternity and do a lot of good philanthropy, but as a whole, seems kind of bland. If you like the brothers here though, definitely rush. They're toned down compared to Pike/AEPi.

Beta Theta Pi (Beta): The new kids on the block who are making moves. They are a mixed bag with over 50 active brothers on campus. They will probably grow to be a massive chapter, so they won't be as closed knit as some other fraternities here. They have a good name for themselves but are still having identity issues being the new kids.
