The above link is the recent article regarding the suspension of Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity.

The Phi Kappa Psi fraternity at Washington and Lee University was suspended Wednesday for three years after a reported incident of hazing.

A fraternity member used a Taser on a new member and intimidated others with it on March 5, according to a letter sent by W&L President Kenneth Ruscio to all students, faculty and staff Wednesday. Initially, the Interfraternity Council suspended the fraternity for a year and a half after reviewing the findings of a campus public safety investigation; however, Ruscio tacked on another year and a half, calling the case “clear physical abuse” and “potentially even more dangerous.”\n\n\n\n\n.\n\n\n\n\n.

University spokesman Brian Eckert said the Taser incident took place off campus as part of a fraternity event, and no one was seriously injured. According to the letter, the university on March 6 received a “specific and credible” report of the activities through its anonymous online hazing report form, which the student affairs department established several years ago.

Eckert said that about 30 members of the fraternity were present at the time of the incident, and that it doesn’t appear that the Taser was used on anyone else.

The suspension means that no fraternity activities may be performed, new members may not be initiated and no members may live in the fraternity house. Eckert said the school is working with about 17 students to provide alternative housing. The chapter consists of 70 men all together.
