Well Phi Psi has an incredible brotherhood and they're a top tier, id throw Sigma Chi in the same bus. In the end all it really is that rather than choosing you based on your persona, they base it on your looks and vibe.

Yeah no doubt being Greek is better than not being Greek, but tiers exist for a reason.

what's the difference between a top house and middle house?
The difference is that guys in top houses are perceived to be more attractive, cooler, and throw better parties. That's it.
The Greek system is nothing but a superficial way of gauging someone's social status by what house they're in.
You can be an attractive stud without a personality and get into Lambda or Phi Psi.
You can be a great guy, but not seen as a "good fit." I know guys in middle houses who are way cooler and interesting than the guys in "top houses."
Many guys in top houses only care about the reputation of their house, their social events, the reputation they personally gain from the house. They have no life or ambition at USC except "raging" and getting with the hottest sorority girls.
After you graduate no one cares what house you were in. Make the best of your time here no matter where you are.

It wasn't that the couldn't land one, the house they asked had some on going drama with them and their social from last year.

TKE doesn't have a date either whats your point? I believe the quality of a house is determined buy the guys in it along with their parties and house rather than a home coming date....

basing an entire tier system off of homecoming dates, isn't an indicator whatsoever about the house as a whole. We're literally talking about one week...

The top tier houses have brotherhood, they are just more superficial about their selection process. What makes a "top house" popular is how girls perceive their attractiveness and the quality of the parties they throw. Therefore, they try to find attractive guys they can have a good time with. If you are an attractive guy (preferably white), and are chill, you will probably get into any house you want.
