by: .To all those out of staters who keep posting the same question. The Greek system here isn't the SEC Greek system. It is much more laid back. Sororities and Frats really don't care that much about where you're from, what your parents do or if you were a legacy here (with the exception of DKE). Yes if you have friends in one/ have really impressive grades (only sororities, Chi Psi and Pi Kapp worry about grades), it is easier to get in. Will looks factor in? Of course, but it isn't a deal breaker. In truth, people here care more about your personality and how well you would fit in.
