stupid question but i need help plz

What are those boots that all the guys wear (not bean boots I know what those are haha)? They're a lot like cowboy boots but they're rounded at the end instead of pointed. I was trying to get my bf a pair but I can't ask his friends because they are the absolute worst at keeping secrets.
