Is this year's group bigger than past years? What are the chances of getting a bid?

I don't know number of PNMs offhand, but if you maximize your options, you have a very very high chance of getting a bid. I'm pretty sure placement rate is consistently well above 90%

This year there started out with 1251 pnms. Which is a little down from last year. That doesn't really affect your chances of getting a bid though. It all depends on whether you like the houses and they like you.

Weren't there pnm numbers higher than that number though? Or are those only assigned as larger numbers?
