On the surface, we look at the information you submit when you sign up for recruitment. Are you a legacy? Do you have a decent GPA? Were you involved in high school?
All of those things are important, but the most important is that you have a good reputation, you are put together, and you have a great personality. If you have a bad reputation, look like you just rolled out of bed, or are rude and boring, we probably will not invite you back.

Also what is super helpful for the PNM is to let their personality shine during recruitment. We want to get to know you. Treat rush like you are interviewing for your dream job. Even if you are shy, make an effort at conversation, be interested in what the members have to say. The biggest mistake PNMs make is to assume they are going to get a bid so they just sit there during rush, not making any real effort at conversation. We like effort, it's a two way street. We want the PNMs to like us as much as we like them. Good luck.

your personality is important, be outgoing and be yourself. Honestly- Phi- mu focuses on a good appearance, not much focus on personality and they don't care as long as you look good. DDD and KD- you need both, a great personality and overall great appearance, the rest are really just based on your personality.

You act like Phi mu, KD and ddd are the only houses that matter. When in reality two of those houses have had poor recruitment!!

^^^^^ really? just DDD and KD focus on BOTH great personality and appearance. GIVE ME A BREAK! I hope all PNM's see in that comment how condescending and petty you are. ALL houses want the whole package, a good appearance (and that doesn't mean classic beauty, it means a neat, overall put together appearance), grades, personality, and graciousness. All these girls that want to sneak in an insult to other houses to make their house seem "a cut above the rest" are the ones you need to be wary of. Word of advice: be yourself, be gracious, and go where you feel most comfortable. That is how you find the right house and enjoy it the most.
