"tier" nonsense
by: mix it upWe as members of the UF Greek community should make an effort to extend our social boundaries and branch out. We should quit the social hierarchy b.s. and explore the uncharted waters of maybe a lower tier sorority or an upper tier fraternity. Why do Pike or Beta etc. Always go with the big sororities? Let's discover Greeks we never knew existed and start mixing the "upper" and "lower" tiers.

The tier system is not really relevant anymore and so much less important/visible than people on this site say. The greek community as a whole participates in lots of events together where people do not care what chapter you are in or do not even know. With chapters so large, when people are not wearing their letters they sort of blend in and you honestly can't tell which chapter they are in: there are attractive and not as attractive people in every chapter. Very few people care about the tier system, there is an overarching sentiment of a greek community as a whole over that. Plus, there are girls in lower-tier sororities who go to top-tier fraternity parties, guys in top-tier fraternities who date girls in lower-tier sororities, etc. No one really cares about "tiers" except the people on this site

Very true i agree. However not very often do tri delts go to a pi lam party lets say. Or a FIJI party? They go where they are comfortable and know brothers. Hence, they are paired so often with big houses they hang out with all them at parties.
