minorities at uf?

I am attending uf next fall and thinking about rushing, I know the sororities here have a competitive rush and are primarily white, what would being filipino have on my chances? I'm considered pretty, and I have good grades, but I am pretty tan with black hair. Which houses would not take me? Should I even bother?

You'll be fine. you should rush for sure and all houses would take you

Being a minority doesn't factor into your chances. In my house, as well as all of the houses, there is a lot of diversity.

Hi! I am half white, half Filipino. Going through rush many believe that being a minority would hinder you but it actually makes you stand out. I didn't get dropped by any houses and ended up choosing an amazing sorority. Race isn't an issue during rush. Especially since latinos are verrrry prominent in greek life. Rush, have a great time, and maybe I'll see you there :)
