do i need a rush consultant?

I'm hearing that if I want to get into Alpha Phi, I have to hire a particular Rush Consultant to help me pick out my clothes and stuff. Is this true?

If you have to hire someone to tell you what to wear and how to act, why would you even want to join? Be yourself and find a home, dont throw money at a situation just to be "popular".. thats just awkward and desperate.

Look! If you are in a sorority, I guarantee that several of your sisters hired rush consultants. They might not tell you about it but they did. It is sort of like hiring a personal trainer. You are making way to big a deal about this.

damn. this sounds like something out of a movie. I wish people would put this money towards something that actually MATTERS. If a sorority isn't going to accept you just as you are, that sorority isn't worth joining.

Do you say that about jobs, partners, etc. You might go to a personal trainer to look your best for your date. You might get a special outfit or hair cut for a job interview. It is this thing called reality.

for academics you are right - chapman isn't that good, but we make a lot of personal connections here, and that will serve us well.
