fall fraternity rush

I am considering transferring to Duke in the fall. Obviously the formal rush period is in the spring, but is it common for transfer students to rush fraternities in the fall as is done at Vandy?

A few decent fraternities have fall rush, but they'll probably only accept kids they knew first semester. You'll have to wait for spring rush probably

The four "top" frats at this school (Dsig, Adphi, Snu, and KA) all do not do fall rush. Some weird frats do but even there it is not common. Meet brothers in the fall but you're going to have to wait until January to really rush.

If you are transferring to Duke from Vandy, greek life will be the VERY LEAST of your worries. Duke is going to chew you up and spit you onto the sidewalk. But please, let us know how you are doing, because we care so very much, just like your helicopter parents.
