transfer students

by: curious

I'm transferring to JMU Fall of 2015. I'll be a junior. Should I even bother rushing? I heard sororities only take freshmen and sophomores..

Do it! Plenty of people will encourage you not to but it will be the best decision of your life--and even if you go through rush and hate it or not like the house you get, you can just drop and move on with your life. Some houses cannot take juniors at all because its in their bylaws but other houses can and you should show your true colors to them because you could meet some amazing girls :) hoped this helped.

I transferred here and I was really surprised by how many juniors got bids! way more than at my old school. And not only from the bottom 2 or 3 sororities either! It's definitely harder, but not hopeless.

its against some sororities national bylaws that they block vote out juniors after a particular round. :/ some do not though, so definitely give it a try!!!
