they got over 150 kids arrested because they don't know how to run risk or throw a day drink. Even if they somehow survive the school sanctions, nobody will ever go to one of their functions again. Good riddance

Not even in KDR, but these random raids from cops happen every semester. It happened to DTD last semester and has happened in the past. It could have happened to anyone. DTD only had homecoming taken away from them as well. Sanctions will be rough for the rest of the semester, but nothing that will kill them off.

What happened to KDR could have happened to any fraternity that was throwing a day drink that day. It had nothing to do with risk. The cops got a warrant signed an hour before raiding the day drink. They got really unlucky. As for their punishment, I have no idea. This is not a good sign for the future of Delaware greek life if cops are going to bust parties like that.

My roommate and I were talking about this. They've been really easy on night parties this year compared to last year, but they've been hard on day drinks. We think it's cuz they don't want us to have the reputation of being a party school in the eyes of parents and perspective students visiting during the day. It's a bad look. They were trying to make a statement. It had nothing to do with KDR or PiKapp and how they run risk. They were also the only fraternities throwing a day drink that day which kind of put them in the spotlight as well.

Sigma Nu had a sweet day drink with a ton of people which was undoubtedly better than KDR's. So no, they weren't the only day drink.

KDR is suspended by their nationals (read: they lost their charter), and since they are no longer recognized by their nationals for the time being, the school cannot recognize them either. The school has also suspended their chapter on this campus so they're in a similar situation to Machi and Apes
