With the daunting amount of clubs, fraternities and associations on a college campus, it may be difficult for students to decide which are worth joining and which aren’t. Many students may choose to be a part of an organization that holds fun events on campus that will give them experience in their chosen field or are just of interest to them. Emojis For Every Occasion

Jenna Greek Life

Regardless of the reason, there comes a time when words simply aren’t sufficient for normal human conversation (disclaimer: this article may not apply to dog conversations). When the moment arrives for you to reply to a message in a speedy fashion with the best outcome, you may need to use emojis. Yes, I’m sure you remember emojis, the cute little doodads fashioned into your phone’s keyboard. Most smartphone users have them in this day and age. Sorority paddles are a gift in Greek Life that little’s give to their big’s (or sometimes big’s give to their little’s) to show the bond they have with each other. When I got my paddle it was one of the greatest moments in my sorority career. Sometimes the paddle has a theme that links the sisters. Other times they’re just made to be absolutely cute and connect the sisters through their aesthetic tastes. The tradition of the paddles dates pretty far back, but these days the décor of them is certainly crafty and upscale. Here are some of the best paddles that I could find this 2015/2016 school year! Check it out and see if your paddle made the list!... Read more

Point Of View Of A Chapter Declaring Independence

Nicole Greek Life

On April 15, 2016, the brothers of the Theta Delta Chapter of Sigma Pi Fraternity at The College of New Jersey raised a total of $12,528.91 for the College’s Relay for Life event. Their outstanding efforts secured a first place finish among a field of about 55 teams, but it is unclear if the fraternity’s achievement was celebrated by the rest of the College. Whether intentional or not, the fraternity’s name was not announced until 5am to a tired and sparse crowd, instead of the usual 12am announcement during the height of the event.... Read more

How To Get The Most Out Of Summer Classes

John D’Amico Greek Life

The first thing I’d like to say is that taking summer classes is something that I would recommend if, for whatever reason, you’d like to finish up college a little bit quicker than you otherwise would. Just make sure that you can afford to do so first. Summer courses can be a relatively quick and in some ways an easier solution to get some of those needed credits out of the way.... Read more
