Whether it was meant to be private or not, it is just WRONG! As was the video made by the DGs at University of Florida. DG is evidentally taught that they are above all ... well, you are not!!

They have helped me get through hell and back and have shown me the true power and value of sisterhood. (We tend to study abroad alot and the bond is strong- even over Skype or, now, in graduate school...) My sisters are literally all over the US and we are still close. Every girl must find her own fit in Greek life, or outside of it if that is where you find your niche. I can only say that it is an experience incomparable to any other and, for me, making the choice to join DG was an affirmation of my inner strength and the best choice I could have made in college. <3

I have been blessed with an amazing, diverse, comlpetely brilliant group of sisters. Witty and fun, they have always been there for me and encouraged me to be a strong, independent, freethinking woman who knows how to have a hell of a good time. I honestly know I might not be here without their love, openness and support. LITB.
To dgLOL- This may not be the best forum to address your concerns. Your sense of sisterhood and your passion is admirable, but the use of language and implied profanity seems improper for a site that may be visited by young women looking into the Greek system. While I do not agree with the song, I do not feel that republishing it in a post does anything to help negate the sterotypes against sorority women, or women in general, which we all fight against daily. I am sorry that your sister recieved the email which was so obviously meant to be a private satirical joke and that it hurt you both so badly. My DG sisters have shown me that I am perfect just as I am.

I am not saying the song is right, but clearly is meant as a joke and was meant to be private. The girls in these sororities are all friends with each other for the most part. And, I read the president of this sorority did not approve it and is disciplining the sister who wrote it. I think you read way too much into this song!

about the beautiful power and unity women can gain through something other than promoting hate – fighting for equality in a world dominated by men.”

The Corradini sisters are in this one. together. hand in hand with our mothers.

we stand together as strong women and we have had so much incredible support that it this point stopping the blog begets more people who weren’t able to read the message.

So to protect the girls that may have only been recipients, and callout the ones that put their pens to paper and set this beast of a song to music, GO MAKE IT RIGHT. Show us you have that value in your person that will allow you to rectify your wrongs and do whatever it takes to apologies and pay forward your gregarious act to those who need to hear from you.

**I didn't blog this but came across it--but seriously, you've got to be a total asswipe to a) do this **** and b) email it to the wrong person. college edu was not obvi this girl's future.
